Derek Homes offers custom home building solutions with a strong commitment to providing excellent quality and customer experience at affordable prices. They design and build new homes from the ground up, fix up old ones, and even transform specifically required spaces as per the needs of the customer. Being fairly new to the business, the team was in need for the creation of the brand's visual identity that matched their company’s values and vision which at the same time could be also resonated with their ideal audience.
Simplicity being the core aim of the project, the challenge was to develop an identity that stood minimal and yet had some relevant cues to represent what the company is about. Having a broad range of applications, it was very necessary to ensure that the final identity mark was scalable and flexible across various touchpoints. The complete identity system developed helps the brand to establish a consistent visual look throughout and to stay relevant in the market.
After many studies and sketches, the result became solid, refined, and modern. The symbol was built from a geometric and proportional grid with clever integration of the relevant elements – Letter ‘D’ + House Icon + Subtle Letter ‘h’. By streamlining and unifying these elements into one simple mark, the logo allows for more versatility at scale whilst continuing to embody the values of the company.
